Meet Andre from Mission Viejo, CA.
The one word that best describes Andre's life today is "Changing." He chose this word because he likes changes and has many interests.
If Andre could change one thing in the world, he would "Want American's to have a greater appreciation for the abundance of food and resources compared to Third World countries." The way Andre would go about making this change, would be to lead by example and show appreciation for what he has.
One year from today, Andre would like to have been accepted to a University in California.
If Andre's life were a movie, it would be about his travels and his appreciation for art and music. It would be about pursuing and living his dreams and at the end of the day realizing he has been "ReincARTnated" and that's who he is. The title of Andre's movie would be called "ReincARTnated" and the subtitle would be "It's Who I Am."
I met Andre and his friendly family as they were enjoying a Hawaiian like sunset at Oak St. Andre and his brother, father and mother were engaging in the conversation and had fun helping to draw out the answers to the questions.
"Andre has an old soul," said his mother. She shared with me that Andre loves to talk about his life and his dreams, so he was the perfect person to participate in our project.
I learned from Andre that his dream is to one day earn a living from his art. His family seems very supportive of his dreams and are encouraging him to pursue them. There was something special about this family. They seemed connected and truly care for each other in a unique and special way.
Meeting people like Andre and his family adds fuel to my fire to continue looking with anticipation for that one person I'll be meeting each day. Thank you Andre and family for pouring a little fuel on my fire!
