Meet Harry and Armine originally from Armenia, now living in Tustin, CA
The one word that best describes Harry and Armine's life today is "Wonderful." The reason they chose this word is because they are enjoying the beauty of the day.
If Harry and Armine could change one thing in the world, they would "Want people to come together under one religion." The way they would go about making this change is to live by the golden rule, "do unto others as you would like for them to do unto you."
One year from today, Harry and Armine would like for every aspect of their health to improve. Physical health, relational health, emotional health and financial health.
If Harry and Armine's life were a movie, it would be about the many facets of a life with such diversity and intensity from Russia to America and what it took to overcome the challenges and obstacles to live in the land of freedom. The title of their movie would be called "Walking Through The Jungle."
I met Harry and Armine as I was walking along the beach this morning. When I first walked past them, they were sitting in their chairs several feet from the shoreline. As I past them on my return home, I noticed they had moved their chairs closer to the water and stopped to ask why they had moved. Their answer was obvious "we wanted to be closer to the water."
At first, Harry seemed a little reluctant to engage in conversation and I learned later from Armine that they aren't usually this open with strangers. "You seemed like a nice guy" said Armine. I totally understand the hesitation coming from Harry, he is the protector of his family and his daughter was nearby playing at the waters edge.
What I thought would be a short dialogue, turned out to be an insightful and in depth conversation about the value of family and the sacrifices we make for our children. They shared with me that they try and come to Laguna Beach every Sunday to unplug from the busyness of life.
When I first saw them, I thought they would make a great picture because they seemed to be taking in the beauty of the moment and drinking in the sunshine and the precious present of family.
I love meeting people from outside the U.S. and hearing their love and appreciation for America. Their perspective and world view is refreshing and helps me to remember how fortunate we are to be living in the land of the free and specifically in an amazing coastal community.
Thank you Harry and Armine for sharing your positive perspective with our community.
