The inspiration for Best People 365 was conceived as I walked 790km across Spain on the Camino de Santiago with my son and brother during the summer of 2013.
The "aha" moment came as I was filming my documentary "790km The Turning Point". I was able to capture the stories from the people I had met everyday as well as my own experiences, and share them in real time with my family and friends on social media. I realized that people have a deep desire to share their stories in an authentic and transparent way, but they don't always know how to do this.
The concept of meeting one new person a day inspired our blog called Best People 365, where we are meeting at least one new person and/or business every day for 365 days and sharing their story through photographs and short films.
