Meet Troy from Aliso Viejo, CA.
The one word that best describes Troy's life today is Amazing.
If Troy could change one thing in the world, he would "Want to see cultures more connected, beginning with Laguna Beach and then around the world." The way he would go about making this change would be to move to Laguna Beach and become entrenched in the culture.
One year from today Troy would like to further his creative hobbies which include photo, video, dance and music.
If Troy's life were a movie, it would be about a kid going thru hardship and struggles, yet persevering and growing up through the hard knocks in life. The title of his movie would be called "One Man's Adventure's."
I met Troy on the beach at Oak St. as the sun was fading away and leaving us with a colorful backdrop for our conversation and photo.
I was up on the lookout deck capturing the sunset and watched Troy walk down the stairs on his way to an evening of skimming. As I saw him leaning on his skim board surveying the point of entry, I thought it would make for a great photo, plus he seemed like he had a great story.
"Free Hugs." Troy was an early adopter of the hugs for free movement and at the time, he didn't realize others were doing the very same thing across the world. Troy is a very personable young man with an altruistic attitude that is contagious!
I learned from Troy that he works at the Laguna Beach Playhouse and he is the box office manager among many other things. "I do it all" says Troy, "from set design, lighting and even acting." He is well liked by his peers and the patrons who fill the seats to experience the latest production at the Playhouse.
There is talk of Troy's life being made into a short film. He is talking with a production company who is interested in telling his story. I thought our meeting was serendipitous and a foreshadowing of things to come because now he has a movie poster for his upcoming film.
If you're in need of a hug or just want a few words of encouragement, come find Troy and I'm sure he would be happy to send a little love your way.
