Meet Will from Connecticut.
The one word that best describes Will's life today is "Violent." Will chose this word because he was taking some pretty hard hits as he was skimboarding.
If Will could change one thing in the world, he would "Increase the awareness of skimboarding in his hometown." The way he will go about making this change is to create a culture of skimboarding beginning with his friends.
One year from today, Will would like to pull off a "wrap-around" on his skimboard without getting a face full of water.
If Will's life were a movie, it would be about inspiring a movement of skimboarding in Connecticut while dividing his time between playing football in college and skimboarding . The title of his movie would be called "Torn."
I met Will and his father Scott as they had just picked up a new Victoria skimboard. They are in Laguna Beach for the weekend as they are looking at colleges for Will to attend.
Will tore is "MCL" last year while skimboarding in Laguna which upset his football coach. Will is torn between is love for football and his love for skimboarding. I learned from Will, there are not too many skimboarders in Connecticut.
As I watched Will skim, he started connecting his turns and finding the sweet spot of the wave which put a huge smile on his face and added to his stoke of skimming!
Good luck Will as you pursue your college football career and keep your skimboarding stoke alive!
