Day 244 of 365 "The World Intertwining"

Meet Ali from Mission Viejo, CA.

The one word that best describes Ali's life today is "Peaceful."

If Ali could change one thing in the world, he would "Want people to be less judgmental."  The way he would go about making this change is to change the way he perceives people and ask questions to understand where people are coming from.

One year from today, Ali would like to have graduated from high school and be in college studying biology to become a doctor.  He would like to be traveling the world making new friends and creating new experiences.

If Ali's life were a movie, it would be about five people from different parts of the world who meet in Hawaii and have incredible adventures together.  The title of his movie would be called "The World Intertwining."

I met Ali and his friend while they were paddling around in their inflatable boat on this warm evening at Brooks St.

I was paddling on my SUP when Ali noticed my Go Pro on my board and asked what I do with it.  I told him that today I was looking for one person to take their picture and share their story so it was a perfect segue to ask him if he would be my one person for the day.

Our conversation was very insightful and idealistic.  Ali is wise beyond his years.  I enjoyed hearing about his story about his trip to Hawaii and how it changed his life.  The natural beauty of the islands and experiencing the underwater world and the sun rising over the volcano's was awe inspiring!

Ali has a deep appreciation for life and for people.  It was not a coincidence that we met in the most unlikely places on the ocean.  Thanks Ali for initiating the conversation and for sharing your thoughts with me and our community.
