Meet Jackson from Irvine, CA.
The one word that best describes Jackson's life today is "Transition." Jackson chose this word because he just accepted a new job today and will be moving to Washington DC. If Jackson could change one thing in the world, he would "Put an end to the wars around the world." The way he would go about making this change would be to be kind to others. One year from today, Jackson would like to be doing well in his new job in DC while finding his passion in photography and bike riding. If Jackson's life were a movie, it would be about his younger years growing up taking him through his college years doing some soul searching. The title of his movie would be called "Jackson" and the subtitle would be called "In Transition." I met Jackson while walking along the beach at sunset and he caught my eye as he was snapping black & white photographs with his analog (film) camera. I've grown to love old school photography and the people who are drawn to this style. Jackson seemed like an old soul who is reflective and contemplative. We walked and talked together for a while and I learned that Jackson spent time in Spain teaching English and while there, he walked part of the Camino de Santiago. Anyone who has walked all or part of the Camino have a special bond as fellow pilgrims. Jackson is house sitting in Laguna Beach for a few more days before heading out into the big world of Washington DC to begin a new career. Hopefully the few minutes we shared together will set the tone for his busy days in DC and just maybe he'll remember to slow down at the intersections of life to meet someone new each day.
