Meet Eli from Russia, who grew up in Israel and is now living in San Diego, CA.
The one word that best describes Eli's life today is Challenging.
If Eli could change one thing in the world, he would "End suffering." The way he would go about making this change is to raise his children to be aware of the suffering in the world and to show compassion to those who are suffering. Also, he would hire people who have expertise to make the necessary changes.
One year from today, Eli would like to find balance in his life and to be present and in the moment.
If Eli's life were a movie, it would be about a man who has a wide variety of interests like sports, art and museums. The title of his movie would be called "Just A Regular Guy."
I met Eli at the SUP Co store where he had just signed up for a SUP lesson and wanted to try and surf some waves. He looked like he has spent many hours in the ocean so I was looking forward to showing him a few of my favorite breaks.
Eli was like a kid in a candy store! We paddle away from the shore line and down the coast to check out second reef at Brooks St. I had my back turned and heard Eli splashing the water with his paddle as he was trying his hardest to ride the open ocean swell.
Unfortunately the wave didn't break but it was fun to see Eli's instincts kick in as he saw an opportunity to ride his first SUP wave. On our way back we engaged in conversation with these questions and he wrestled with them and thought long and hard about them.
I appreciated Eli's authenticity and sensitivity as he shared his answered to my questions. Eli is a great conversationalist and asks very good questions. Once again, the open ocean provides an ideal environment to engage in meaningful conversations.
