Meet Ingrid from France, now living in Switzerland.
The one word that best describes Ingrid's life today is "Discovery." If Ingrid could change one thing in the world, she would "Want to connect people in community to build relationships." The way she would go about making this change is to bring people together with common interests. One year from today, Ingrid would like to learn something new by furthering her education and expanding her knowledge to benefit her work. If Ingrid's life were a movie it would be a documentary about learning to surf for the first time. The title of her movie would be called "Surf The Wave." I met Ingrid today at the SUP Co. store in Laguna Beach where she and her boyfriend Alex had signed up to learn how to stand up paddle for the first time. I was their instructor and we had an amazing time paddling down the coast to Moss Point and back. Ingrid was a natural on the board, her form and technique were perfect! Ingrid shared with me that she does yoga and works on her core which is a huge benefit when SUP'n. The conditions today were so perfect and we had the ocean to ourselves with the exception of a few Garibaldi fish. I was impressed that Ingrid did not fall off her board until Alex came alongside and bumped her off! Ingrid has lived in Switzerland for 14 years and loves to snow ski the Swiss Alps. We have a lot in common as I shared with her that I lived in Bend Oregon for 8 years and would snowboard 50 days a season. Europeans are some of my favorite people in the world! They are so culturally diverse and seem to have a genuine interest in engaging in a conversation while sitting in a cafe. I felt as if we were experiencing the "Cafe Life" in the middle of the ocean on our boards. Thank you Ingrid for allowing me to introduce you to the wonderful world of stand up paddle boarding in Laguna Beach.
