Meet Erik from New Jersey who is living in Oceanside at Camp Pendleton.
The one word that best describes Erik's life today is "Excellent."
If Erik could change one thing in the world, he would "Want everyone to have an opportunity to live a fulfilled life." The way he would go about making this change is to share the good vibes.
One year from today, Erik would like to continue living a happy life.
If Erik's life were a movie, it would be about the good life he is living. The title of his movie would be called "Life Is Good."
I met Erik and his friend Carter after they had been surfing and switched to skim boarding.
Erik researched the best places to skim board and St. Anne's was recommended. The conditions were perfect! He had the beach to himself, the waves were just the right size and the water was super warm.
He is taking a break for the day from military training and came up to Laguna for sun and surf! Erik was pretty good and you could tell he has spent time skimming back home in New Jersey. His day in Laguna couldn't have been better.
I love meeting military men who find time to enjoy our beaches and surf in between protecting our country. Thanks Erik for your service and for sharing a small slice of your story.
