Day 290 of 365 "Kama'aina"

Meet Tim from Laguna Beach, CA.

The one word that best describes Tim's life today is "Amazing."  The reason Tim chose this word is because he has the freedom to come and go as he pleases.

If Tim could change one thing in the world, he would, "Put an end to war."  The way he would go about making this change is to engage in relationships and talk to people every day, one person at a time.

One year from today, Tim would like to own land on the North Shore of Hawaii.

If Tim's life were a movie it would be about living in Hawaii as a local "Kama'aina" and giving back to the community.  The title of his movie would be called "Kama'aina."

I met Tim this morning on Oak St. as a big group of us were talking about a major event that took us all by surprise.

When I first met Tim, I thought he was Hawaiian because of his Aloha spirit.  Having lived in Hawaii for 15 years, I have a deep love and respect for the people of the islands as we share a common bond experiencing the beauty of Hawaii.

Tim will fit in perfectly when he becomes a land owner in Hawaii and I'm sure he will give back to the islands rather than take from the land like so many haoles have before him.  I look forward to watching Tim pursue his dream.

Tim's outgoing personality has helped him become a successful entrepreneur owning an exclusive valet company called Streamline Valet.  Tim understands the value of meeting new people and positioning yourself to serve one another to create a mutually beneficial outcome.

I learned that Tim loves shoes.  He commented on my friends colorful shoes as we walked past him earlier in the morning and as we were talking he was asking about my bright red Nike Flex Fit shoes. We have this in common.

I'm sure I'll be seeing my new neighbor around town or in the water surfing.
