Meet Deja and Mia from San Bernardino, CA.

The one word that best describes Deja's life today is "Perfect."
The one word that best describes Mia's life today is "Responsible."

If Deja could change one thing in the world, she would "Put an end to gang violence in San Bernardino."  The way she would go about making this change is by bringing people together.
If Mia could change one thing in the world, she would "Put an end to child abuse."  The way she would go about making this change is to be involved with kids and aware of their surroundings.

One year from today, Deja would like to transfer from Saddleback College to a University.
One year from today, Mia would like to go back to school and work towards becoming a social worker.

If Deja's life were a movie, it would be about her pursuit to move away from San Bernardino as she works towards a career as a sports trainer.  The title of her movie would be called "Leaving San Bernardino."
If Mia's life were a movie, it would be about her new life living North Dakota where life is seasonal and peaceful.  The tilte of Mia's move would be called "Living in North Dakota."

I originally saw Deja and Mia as they were standing on the beach watching the sunset.  As I was walking home, I saw them sitting on the wall after the sun had gone down.

They looked like they were have fun, so I offered to take their picture with their camera only if they would allow me to take a photo with my camera and interview them for our blog.  Without hesitation, they agreed.

I learned that Deja is a student at Saddleback college and plays basketball.  She must be a great player because Saddleback is one of the top junior colleges in the country.  I didn't ask her but I can only imagine that she could potentially get a scholarship to transfer to a University.

Mia shared with me that her brother lives in North Dakota and can't wait to live there.  She talked about the change of seasons and the slow pace of life that is appealing to her and hopes to move there one day.

I took this photo prior to asking them questions and before the sun had set.  After we finished our conversation, I took individual photos of them but we had lost our light and they didn't turn out the way I had hoped.  I love this photo because their beautiful smiles captures the moment so perfectly!

Continue the pursuit of your dreams Deja and Mia as you leave San Bernardino and live in North Dakota.
