The one word that best describes Katherine's life today is "Blessed."
If Katherine could change one thing in the world she would "Spread kindness so that people would be more kind to each other. The way she would make this change would be to be kind to herself and to others."
One year from today Katherine would like to have set a new record for the 100 meter backstroke on the Mission Viejo Nadadores swim team.
If Katherine's life were a movie it would be all about swimming with her children and the title would be called "Swimmers Life" A Life of Swimming.
I met Katherine this morning while I was surfing and she was swimming (the backstroke) when she ran into me. We had a good laugh over the collision and captured the moment for today's post.
Katherine is part of a group of swimmers who show up at Oak St. every Saturday morning. Just last week, I met another swimmer from this group (Ray) who is a triathlete who loves to compete in the Ironman France. I never knew swimmers were so friendly.
Good luck Katherine, as you work towards setting a new record for the 100 meter backstroke. And next time I see you swimming, I'll make sure I move out of your way.
