Day 69 of 365 "Wild Ride"

Meet Derek from Laguna Beach, CA.

The one word that best describes Derek's life today is "Awesome."

If Derek could change one thing in the world he would, "Want there to be fewer people in the world."  The way he would go about making this change would be to educate people on the problems with over population.

If money wasn't an issue, Derek would like to travel to Tokyo and visit Harajuku in the district of Shibuyu.  It is a location in Japan where the young and teenagers dress in their own fashions.  Derek would dress up as an expression of rejecting society.

If Derek's life were a movie it would be about the three lives he lives.  By day he is a professional engineer.  By night he is a "Sith Lord" and can be found walking around Laguna Beach or partying at a rave.  All the other times, he is on the beach skim boarding.

Derek said I caught him on a good day and wouldn't normally carry on a conversation with a stranger, let alone let him take a picture of him.

Derek was very talkative and had a lot to say.  He told me that there are times when he will dress up as a Sith Lord carrying a light saber and walk through downtown Laguna Beach where he goes unnoticed.

I'm pretty sure if I saw a guy walking past me dressed up in a Star Wars outfit carrying a light saber, I would notice him.  I'll be watching out for you Derek aka "Sith Lord."
