The one word that best describes Rod's life today is "Fabulous."
If Rod could change one thing in the world, he said "there is not much I would change."
One year from today, Rod would like to have more grandchildren. He currently has five.
If Rod's life were a movie it would be about a small town kid from Kansas who was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to attend Harvard and graduate with honors and then receive a scholarship to attend Columbia Law School. The title of Rod's movie would be called "A Nice Ride" throughout his life and his classic car.
I met Rod as he was walking out of the bank and I was admiring his beautiful, rare 1949 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, which happens to be the 12th "complete" Rolls-Royce ever made and is in beautiful condition.
Rod was kind enough to allow me to snap a photo of him as he was sharing a small slice of his story.
I admire people like Rod who are willing to engage in conversation with a complete stranger and share a few pages of the story of their life. Thanks Rod.
