The one word that best describes David's life today is "Picturesque." The one word that best describes Hilary's life today is "Go."
If David could change one thing in the world he would "find creative and innovative ways to mix cocktails." David has a creative mind as a mixologist and would make this change by trying different recipes and ingredients. If Hilary could change one thing in the world she would "want to find a cure to cancer." The way she would go about making this change is to create awareness and help those who are fighting cancer.
One year from today, David would like for his brother to be healthier and for his family to spend more time together. One year from today, Hilary would like there to be fewer people dying of cancer.
If David's life were a movie it would be about caring for other people and living in the moment, showing appreciation for each other and helping them to enjoy their lives. The title of David's movie would be called "Empathy." If Hilary's life were a movie it would be about trying to find balance and true happiness while being true to herself. The title of Hilary's movie would be called "The Pursuit of Happiness."
I met David and Hilary as they were being showered by the waves splashing on the rocks. David's fun personality was getting as close to the edge of the spray without falling in. We were all being entertained by the water show while the sun was setting in the background.
There is something about the natural elements that stirs your soul and breaks down any barriers between strangers. We shared similar views about the power of passing on goodness and kindness to others. Thanks David and Hilary for paying forward goodness and kindness by sharing their story with me and with our community.
